Dr. Decker is a Certified Human Resource Professional with the Society for Human Resource Management, a Professional in Human Resources through the Human Resource Certification Institute, a Certified Master Professional in Prior Learning Assessment, and a Certified Marketing Professional. Dr. Decker is a member of the American Society for Training and Development, Society for Human Resource Management, and American Marketing Association.

Dr. Decker has been active in higher education and service for 27 years. Having spent several years in management for a Fortune 200 Company and several years as a Training and Development Consultant for Governmental Initiatives, Dr. Decker brings a unique blend of industry, government, and education knowledge. While her background is comprehensive in business administration her primary teaching areas include: Management, Marketing, Finance, and Human Resources.  

Her research includes exploration of the dimensions of self-concept/self-efficacy for its relevance in improving technological human performance for education and organizational effectiveness. Her concentrated efforts are upon effective business development and the conveyance of a variety of business discipline knowledges for transfer to work-based performance in both industry and educational environments. 
She has written numerous publications regarding self-efficacy, training and development, and technical education, received numerous awards for teaching and academics, and is a Gospel Music Recording Artist.
