Dennis Backherms has more than 25 years of experience in the Information Technology (IT) industry. During this time, he has filled a wide range of roles and responsibilities; mainly specializing in information security. He is well versed in Six Sigma methodologies, helping to integrate and solidify his understanding of IT and Business alignment strategy. He also holds several professional certifications in information security. Dr. Backherms has participated actively as a student, practitioner, researcher, and published author. He continues to appreciate a deeper understanding of technology and its proper use for academic research and curriculum development. His researched and published topics have included Cloud Computing, Mesh Networks, IT Leadership, Medical Identity Theft, Biometrics, and Cybersecurity. During his free time, Dr. Backherms likes to read and spend time with his family.
