Dr. Martinez has a Juris Doctorate (JD) from the University of Texas, School of Law, in Austin, Texas.  His concentrations are in Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Property Law, Criminal Law, Legal Ethics, Digital Forensics, and English Composition.  Dr. Martinez received his Master of Arts (MA) from the University of Texas at San Antonio, where he specialized in English Composition and Rhetoric.  He also has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from St. Mary's University in his hometown of San Antonio, Texas, where he majored in English Literature and Composition.  Dr. Martinez is a member of the Texas Bar and practices law on behalf of the state government in Austin, Texas.

Dr. Martinez is an expert in Administrative, Criminal, and Constitutional Law, and has worked on behalf of the Department of Justice, District Attorney's Office, and Texas Environmental Commission.  As a current practitioner and Senior Attorney for his office, Dr. Martinez leads and directs the work of a team of attorneys on complex litigation.  He has demonstrated success in litigating on behalf of the public interest in expansive, unique, and unconventional legal issues of first impression before the courts.  Dr. Martinez additionally has a love and enthusiasm for teaching, learning, and building professional relationships.

Dr. Martinez lives in Austin, Texas with his wife, and enjoys CrossFit, playing the piano, and spoiling his two Doberman puppies.
