Dr. Jake Brock joined the faculty of the Hutton School of Business in 2016. Previously, he worked in industry as an accountant and has been involved in financial leadership and decision-making roles in several not-for-profit organizations. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and holds a graduate education certificate from the Harvard University Graduate School of Education and a Certificate in Blockchain Fundamentals for Accounting and Finance Professionals from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is currently a student in the Ph.D. in Theological Studies – Historical Theology and concurrent Th.M. in Research Languages program at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri. 

Dr. Brock is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Christian Business Faculty Association, the Evangelical Theological Society, and the Kentucky Society of Certified Public Accountants (KyCPA), where he currently serves on the Members in Education and Professional Ethics Committees. In addition to his responsibilities as a UC faculty member, Dr. Brock serves as pastor of Swiss Colony Baptist Church in London, Kentucky. 

Further, he has been active in service to several not-for-profit organizations and currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dayspring Health, Inc., Secretary of the Board of Directors of Dayspring Holdings, Inc., and as a member of the Executive Board of the Laurel River Baptist Association of southeastern Kentucky. He previously served as a member of the boards of directors of the KyCPA (Finance Committee), the Kentucky State Police Foundation (Treasurer), and Come-Unity Cooperative Care. He is a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels and a Kentucky Commonwealth Ambassador. Dr. Brock enjoys reading, writing, fishing, walking, target shooting, hiking, coffee, and Cracker Barrel.
