Joseph Mews, Ph.D., serves as a faculty member in the Department of Leadership Studies. In addition to his faculty role at UC, Dr. Mews works in higher education administration, where he’s held various leadership roles for both public and private institutions. He is currently the Vice President of Enrollment & Student Affairs at Lake-Sumter State College (FL), leading the areas of Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar, Academic Advising, Early College Programs, Student Development, and Engagement, and all related student services for the College.

In line with his professional experience, his academic and research interests primarily focus on organizational leadership, strategic planning and assessment, and change management. Mews has designed content, taught courses, presented, published articles, and edited textbooks related to these areas. He is also an editorial board member for the journals SEM Quarterly and Open Journal of Leadership, a faculty evaluator for the AACRAO Strategic Enrollment Management Endorsement Program, and a member of several related professional and academic associations.
