Fall 2027 Apps Are Open!

Cumberlands students don't have to worry if college is worth it! The application cycle for on-campus Fall 2027 students is now open! Are you ready to be a Patriot? 

Dr. Michelle Shepherd enjoys spending time with her family and supporting others in reaching their goals. She is a published author whose works include "Glean", a devotional, and "The Adventures of Annallee", a children’s book series promoting kindness and understanding of autism, ADHD, and other special needs. 

Dr. Shepherd has served as an educator since 2007, with experience in teaching, coaching, administration, and various leadership roles. Her research interests include educational leadership and emerging issues in education, with an emphasis on positive outcomes for students and schools. Her current projects include research on the relationship between teachers’ years of experience and educational outcomes.

Outside of work, Dr. Shepherd enjoys visiting lighthouses with her family and loves animals. Her household includes a Beagle named Simon, a Husky named Sheba, and two cats, Callie and Baxter—the best dressed of the bunch, Mr. Tuxedo himself. Dr. Shepherd is a graduate of UC and UC holds a special place in her family, as her husband and son are also UC graduates.
