Mike Paalz teaches leadership at the University of the Cumberlands, with particular emphasis on ministry leadership, missions, international engagement, and K–12 educational leadership. His teaching examines the relationship between leadership theory and applied practice, equipping students to develop the character, discernment, and communication skills necessary for effective leadership in educational and ministry contexts.
In addition to his university teaching, Mike serves as an educational technology coach and trainer supporting teachers and administrators across eight schools in a large public school district in Georgia. In this role, he provides professional development, collaborates with educators to design effective instructional practices, and helps schools integrate digital tools in ways that strengthen teaching and increase student engagement.
Mike is also active in student ministry, where he mentors high school students and develops Bible teaching resources to help young people engage thoughtfully with Scripture and apply its truth to daily life. He is married with two children.
