Ryan Hanley serves as the Department Chair of Missions & Ministry and teaches in the areas of biblical studies and theology, seeking to help students understand the Christian faith and make it their own. He and his wife Kathleen have five children and have served together for the last 16 years in college and young couples ministry. Before coming to UC in 2021, Ryan held various roles at Southern Seminary in Louisville, KY, teaching undergraduate classes, overseeing instructional design for the online department, and as an administrator for the Research Doctoral Studies program.
Ryan is a member of the Evangelical Theological Society and serves as the Old Testament book review editor for the Journal of Biblical and Theological Studies.
