Vanessa Ann Claus, also known as Dr. Claus or Dr. C, is a dedicated instructor, who is passionate about continuous learning and development. Dr. Claus holds a PhD in Human Resource Development and her dissertation focus was related to the influence of cultural dimensions on ethical decision making among human resource professionals.

Dr. Claus has been teaching online for over ten years and has also taught face-to-face classes since her time at Texas A&M University. She loves online learning and the access that it provides to a diverse group of students. Dr. Claus believes in the importance of continuous engagement in the online learning environment. She loves discussion forums, providing constructive and detailed feedback, demonstrating her subject matter expertise, and, too, learning from her amazing students. She firmly believes that being an educator is the best job because she continues to learn and grow from the students around her.

In addition to her educational background, Dr. Claus has experience as a business owner and has owned and operated two businesses. The businesses were in different sectors, one being retail and the other being education focused. She loves sharing her practical experiences, coupled by her theoretical knowledge, to draw distinctions between theory and real-world application challenges. Dr. Claus lives in Michigan with her husband and her Australian Shepherd. She loves spending her summers at Lake Michigan, traveling, spending time with her family, and enjoying the wonderful life that God has created for her.
