Dr. Vonda Moore began work at University of the Cumberlands in 2008 and currently serves as Professor of Business at the Hutton School of Business.

Dr. Moore holds a DBA in Marketing from Argosy University; a Master’s degree in Business Education from Union College; and the BBA from Eastern Kentucky University.  Dr. Moore’s dissertation research was titled:  Communicating with the Prospective Student – An Analysis of College/University Website Content and Prospective Student College Selection Factors.  Current research interests include higher education marketing; service quality; customer satisfaction measurement; digital/online marketing; and business education.

At University of the Cumberlands, Dr. Moore teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses.  Recent courses for undergraduate students have included Principles of Marketing; Consumer Behavior; Marketing Research; Business Communications; and Marketing Communications/PR.  At the graduate level, Dr. Moore teaches the Methods & Materials for Teaching Business Subjects class for students in the MAT Program and the Strategic Marketing: Research and Practice class for students in the doctoral program.  Dr. Moore also teaches a Special Topics class in Digital Marketing for graduate business students.

Incorporating certifications into course instruction at the undergraduate and graduate level has been a recent focus for Dr. Moore.  She co-presented with others from UC on this topic at the Annual Conference of the International Accrediting Council for Business Education in Costa Mesa, CA, in April 2022.

Dr. Moore is currently a member of a number of education and marketing associations.  A few of these include the American Marketing Association; the National Business Education Association; and the Blockchain Council.  She has also completed close to 20 marketing-related industry certifications.
