Emily Vander Ark teaches composition for the University of the Cumberlands Online. She has studied writing both fiction and creative nonfiction, published both essays and stories, and taught developmental writing, composition, and creative writing for various institutions. She lives in southwest Michigan with her husband (whom she met at UC) and daughter.
