Johnelle Simpson is an experienced and joyful educator who has spent her career helping young learners grow with confidence. She currently serves as the Director and Teacher at Rooted in Christ Preschool at Sherman Church of Christ and also supports Walton-Verona Schools as a substitute teacher.
Over the years, Johnelle has taught nearly every elementary grade—1st through 5th—and has served as an RTI teacher and specialist in Boone, Grant, and Kenton County schools. Her warm teaching style, dedication to students, and ability to meet children right where they are have shaped her long career in education.
Johnelle holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Eastern Kentucky University, a Master of Arts in Graduate Education from Georgetown College, and earned National Board Certification as a Middle Childhood Generalist.
