Kathryn Hart is an Adjunct professor within the Health and Exercise Department, and teaches two courses: Fitness and Sport Management and Facilities Development and Management. Both courses are designed to give students the tools they need to be successful in sport business and sport management.

Kathryn Hart is also the Head volleyball Coach at UC for the past 6 seasons. Hart’s success at Cumberlands has led to numerous player and team recognitions both on and off the court.  Eight players have earned first team all-conference honors, while 13 have garnered second team all-conference accolades.  In 2016, Jennifer Philpot became just the third player in program history to earn NAIA All-American Honorable Mention honors.  The Patriots success has extended to the classroom where UC has had 35 academic all-conference selections and 11 NAIA Academic All-Americans.  Cumberlands has earned AVCA Team Academic Award in each of Hart’s first five seasons and earned NAIA Scholar Team Honors in 2017 and 2018.

Kathryn Hart is also working on her Ph.D. in Business and is looking to study fan attendance within NCAA DI volleyball programs to help further research in making women’s collegiate volleyball a revenue generating sport. Kathryn enjoys traveling, reading books and spending time with family and friends.
