Melissa S. Gruner serves as in-house litigation counsel for Signature HealthCARE, LLC and its affiliate companies, a leading provider of long-term nursing care in the Eastern and Southeastern US. In this position, Ms. Gruner oversees and actively participates in the defense of resident injury claims from pre-suit through trial. Prior to joining Signature, Ms. Gruner was a partner at a national defense firm where her practice focused on defending long-term care facilities in complex, high-exposure litigation. Ms. Gruner has extensive experience in e-discovery and currently serves as an adjunct professor, instructing information security graduate students regarding the legal complexities facing their industry. Ms. Gruner and her husband, Jason, enjoy spending time together with their school-aged daughter, Hadley, and their three rescue dogs.
