Fourteen students in The Hutton School of Business at University of the Cumberlands recently received scholarships from the Kentucky Society of Certified Public Accountants’ Educational Foundation.

More Cumberlands students were chosen for this scholarship than any other college or university in Kentucky. In addition, this year’s class of scholarship recipients is among the largest groups of recipients from any one university in the scholarship program’s history.

Scholarship recipients are chosen on the basis of academic achievement, work history, community service, campus leadership and involvement, and commitment to the accounting profession. The selection process is a competitive process facilitated by the Educational Foundation Board of Directors.

“We are extremely proud of our scholarship winners,” said Dr. Jake Brock, Assistant Professor of Accounting at Cumberlands. “These students are talented, hard-working and gifted leaders who not only excel academically but actively and meaningfully invest themselves in serving others and leading in their local and campus communities. This achievement recognizes their incredible accomplishments as accounting students and young professionals.”
