The new program prepares students for success in digital and traditional marketing careers

University of the Cumberlands continues to expand its offerings by launching a Master of Science in Strategic Marketing program.

Cumberlands' strategic marketing program equips students with the advanced marketing knowledge, digital skills, and strategic competencies necessary to thrive in today’s global business environment. By integrating cutting-edge digital marketing strategies with data analytics, AI applications, and traditional marketing techniques, the program positions graduates for success in competitive and fast-paced industries.

“We continually strive to produce high-quality, affordable academic programs that lead to successful careers,” said Dr. Daniel Kanyam, Director of Graduate Business Programs. “This program will provide students with the tools and insights to become leaders in the ever-evolving marketing field. With a curriculum that integrates both traditional and digital marketing, our students will be well-prepared to meet the demands of today’s global marketplace.”

According to the American Marketing Association, there are at least 6.5 million marketers globally, and one in four Fortune 500 companies have a ‘Chief Marketing Officer’ on their executive team. The AMA reports employment in the field is projected to experience a 6% growth over the next ten years. 

Cumberlands’ Master of Science in Strategic Marketing program, which comprises 31 credit hours, includes key courses such as Strategic Digital Marketing, Advanced Brand Management, Business-to-Business Marketing, Marketing Decision-Making & Analytics, and more. The program offers students the opportunity to apply their skills in a capstone project or applied learning practicum, enabling them to make data-driven decisions and lead marketing initiatives effectively.

Cumberlands' business and accounting programs have consistently received re-accreditation from the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE) since 2017, underscoring the University’s commitment to delivering high-quality educational experiences. Additionally, the University’s Executive PhD in Business (Finance Specialty) was recently ranked No. 1 in the nation by Forbes Advisory. Cumberlands' Blockchain Technology program was also ranked as the top in the nation by Tech Guide and among the top five nationally by Successful Student.
