Cumberlands’ Online MBA Program Ranked #8 Nationally by Forbes Advisor

University of the Cumberlands’ online Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) program was recently ranked #8 in the nation among accredited, nonprofit schools by Forbes Advisor.

Forbes evaluated more than 400 schools to create its vetted list of top ten stand-out programs. Selected institutions demonstrated excellence in key areas such as student experience, credibility, affordability, student outcomes, and application process. Rankings were based on data from reliable sources, including the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System. Cumberlands earned the #8 spot, featured alongside other prominent institutions such as Purdue and Johns Hopkins.

Cumberlands’ inclusion on the Forbes list stems from several commendable factors, with the program standing out, particularly in terms of affordability and flexibility. 

The article notes, “With the lowest average graduate tuition on our top 10 list, the school’s online MBA may be a good fit for students seeking an affordable graduate business degree.” The authors also highlight how the program allows students to balance their studies with full-time work, offering greater flexibility for those managing 9-to-5 obligations.

Cumberlands’ online Master’s in Business Administration program boasts an engaging curriculum emphasizing applied learning, ethical leadership, and strategic thinking. The program consists of 31 credit hours at a rate of $355 per credit hour. Students must keep in mind that adding a concentration will increase total credit hours to 37. 

Since earning initial accreditation in 2017, the business and accounting programs at Cumberlands have repeatedly met the rigorous standards of the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE), reaffirming their dedication to academic excellence.
