MO will be building two homes in 2025, both of which will be constructed for families in need.

Mountain Outreach (MO), a ministry operated by University of the Cumberlands, is now accepting applications for families in need of a new home.

MO will be building two homes in 2025, both of which will be constructed for families in need. MO offers a 0% interest mortgage with no down payment required for qualified families earning $30,000 - $60,000 annually. The Mountain Outreach-built homes will be located in Whitley County, KY. The ministry welcomes applications from qualified families whether or not they own land; however, preference will be given to individuals who own their land.

Mountain Outreach-built homes are constructed with care and precision by the skilled hands of Mountain Outreach and contractors from the local community. From sturdy foundations to stylish finishes, families’ new homes will be a testament to MO’s commitment to excellence.

Only two spots are available for families in need of a new home. To apply or learn more about the application process, interested parties can email mo [at] ucumberlands.edu (mo[at]ucumberlands[dot]edu) or call 606-539-4290. The MO team will guide applicants through the process.

About Mountain Outreach:
Mountain Outreach is a non-profit service organization operated by University of the Cumberlands. Since its inception in 1982, the goal of Mountain Outreach is to reinvigorate and revitalize the community by focusing on four key elements: community service, repair projects, warehouse utilization, and home builds. The program’s outreach includes numerous service projects that help provide children, the elderly, and financially struggling families with critical and urgent needs throughout the Cumberlands service region. Mountain Outreach wants the community to view the program as a resource that will meet the needs of the residents through acts of kindness and actions of service. It is the hope of this program to invigorate the community by not only providing vital assistance to those in need, but by also providing individuals and organizations with a chance to put faith into action and spread God’s love throughout our region.
