Two online programs at University of the Cumberlands (UC) were recently ranked second in the state of Kentucky.

Cumberlands’ Online Doctorate in Educational Leadership program and Online Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice program were reviewed and ranked by two independent organizations. The programs were compared to others across the country and ranked based on quality of programs, average tuition costs, percentage of tenured faculty at the schools, and the schools’ reputations, among other factors.

Both online programs at UC were ranked #2 in the Commonwealth, following only the University of Kentucky in Online Doctorate in Educational Leadership programs and Eastern Kentucky University in Online Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice programs.

“We are delighted to see our programs recognized again for academic excellence,” said Dr. Christopher Leskiw, Associate Dean of Academic Affairs. “Our programs continue to deliver a high-quality education at an affordable price, all while equipping our students to live a ‘life more abundant,’ as our school motto states. What distinguishes UC in a large market of online programs is our service-minded culture. Not only do we want our students to better their own lives through educational achievement, but we equip them to become servant leaders.”

These newest rankings come after Cumberlands has garnered recognition for a number of its other programs, including its doctoral programs being ranked 6th in the country by SR Education Group, and its Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling ranking 1st in the nation for affordability, as determined by Best Counseling Degrees.
